Success Story:
C.G. graduated in 2018 from Lindsey Hopkins Technical College with help from CILSF Adult Transition Program.
C.G., driven by his raw artistic talent, enrolled in the Commercial Arts vocational education program at Lindsey Hopkins Technical College. In the classroom, he learned the skills needed to apply his talent to a trade, while getting tutored by CILSF Adult Transition Program to improve his literacy skills. Meanwhile, CILSF helped C.G.
gain volunteer experience and develop a skills-based resume in preparation for his
transition into the workforce. Following graduation, C.G. immediately focused on obtaining employment, and with the assistance of CILSF, he landed his first job! C.G. is now working Monday through Friday and on his way to greater independence and self-sufficiency. Congratulations, C.G.!
Adult tRANSITION program
We welcome students enrolled in adult vocational education programs at Miami-Dade County Public Schools to get the support they need to graduate, obtain necessary licensure to practice in their field of study, and successfully transition into employment. One-on-one tutoring is provided upon request.
Our program serves students from Lindsey Hopkins Technical College.
