Disabled students receive instruction in garage

Students with disabilities enrolled in adult Vocational Education Programs at Miami-Dade County Public Schools get the support they need to graduate, obtain licensure to practice in their field of study, and transition to employment.

The program serves students at Robert Morgan Educational Center and Technical College, Lindsey Hopkins Technical College, and Miami Lakes Educational Center and Technical College by providing peer support and advocacy; helping to address any obstacle to completion of their vocational education program, GED, or ESOL; and linking them to community resources.

One-to-one tutoring is provided to students who need to improve their basic academic skills and classroom performance, or to pass their TABE, CASAS, GED, or licensure exam.
